This section defines how we use and store your data.

Registration and Mailing data is collected by www.pro-web.co.uk who maintain this site and handle all emails and questions on behalf of the Picture Editors' Awards. All data collected is for the Awards' sole use and never passed on to third parties. Should we wish to change how we use your email address or any other information that you have provided to us, then we will contact you and ask for individual prior consent.

PictureAwards.net does not use cookies *. However, links to external sites may use cookies. The Picture Editors' Awards is not responsible for the content of external websites.

CLICK! will use a cookie to track login of members to allow users to move between membership pages. This cookie will not hold any personally identifable information other than their user ID. It will be called "name@www.click.pictureawards"

* A cookie is a small text file of information that certain Web sites attach to a user's hard drive while the user is browsing the Web site. A Cookie can contain information such as user ID, user preferences, archive shopping cart information, etc. Cookies can contain Personally Identifiable Information.

Registrations:

Your registration information is transferred to a database. A unique reference number is allocated to each registration, this is used in renaming all pictures entered into the Awards to ensure that judging of entries is anonymous.

Your Forename, Surname and email address is extracted and added to our Mailing List (see below for how we use this).

For those photographers who are nominated, their details are extracted into a new database, this is to speed access to nominee information (for example, their email addresses for contact purposes).

We keep a record of who registered and entered as their images are contained within the Gallery of all entries, and we may need to contact photographers from time to time if we are contacted in relation to an image in the gallery.

All data is kept confidential and we never pass your information on to third parties, nor use your details for direct mail purposes. Should anyone contact us in relation to one of your pictures in the Awards' Gallery, we advise that we cannot give out photographer's personal details and we will contact you on their behalf and ask if you wish to contact them direct, or for us to advise that you do not wish to be contacted.

Mailing List:

We ask for Forename, Surname and an email address. Optional information is your occupation and who you work for - this is used solely for group statistical analysis to help us see what types of people are on the mailing list.

Mailing List requests (and those who registered to enter the Awards) are added onto our mailing list. This list comprises solely of Forename, Surname and Email Address. If someone wishes to unsubscribe, their details are removed from the mailing list, usually within 48 hours.

Your email address:

We only use addresses in the mailing list to keep you informed of announcements and reminders relating to the Picture Editors' Awards and future Awards events. If someone contacts us and asks for your information, we will email you and ask that you contact them directly. If you advise us that you do not wish to contact them, we will deal with the query on your behalf. We never pass your information onto third parties. Should we wish to change how we use your email address or any other information that you have provided to us, then we will contact you and ask for individual prior consent.

Unsubscribing:

You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by sending an email to administrator@pictureawards.net advising us that you wish to unsubscribe. We will then remove your details from the Mailing List.
